The careers of Expaticore's principals include responsibility for managing global mobility programs in best-in-class organizations. This experience provided the opportunity to gain skills, competencies and extensive experience that touched every critical aspect of global mobility and international human resources. These functional areas included policy design and implementation, program administration, expatriate taxes, accounting, relocation management and expatriate payroll among others. As US markets became more competitive in the late 1990's and the subsequent pressures from a difficult US economy beginning in 2000, US organizations increasingly looked across borders for more markets. In reaction to the explosive growth of these "globalizations", Expaticore was launched to meet increased demand in the market for resources with this experience, specialized technical knowledge and a high-touch service orientation to help companies organize and simplify the process of transferring their assignees around the world.
Expaticore opened their doors for business in NYC in 2002 offering expert expatriate program consulting and outsourced assignment management administration in situations where the traditional service providers (accounting firms and relocation companies) lacked the expertise, or could not stretch their resources far enough or deep enough to help. Often Expaticore's initial client engagements focused on small or emerging organizations where solutions customized to meet the individual organizations needs were as essential as the critical technical capabilities that Expaticore brought.
Responding to Client's Needs with Key Solutions
Soon after the business began, Expaticore developed a comprehensive training program in response to client's requests for information about global mobility program policies, implementation and supporting infrastructure, referred to as "Global Launch". Global Launch is a boot-camp education session that quickly trains clients in the basics of sending expatriates abroad. Expaticore has presented and refined the Global Launch program over the years, tailoring it with the evolution of the function, market practice and individual client requests. Expaticore has been instrumental in embedding the concepts taught in Global Launch as part of the solution models it has designed for its clients.
Evolving Solutions to Meet Ever-changing Needs
In 2004 Expaticore's clients began to request national and expatriate payroll services in addition to the global mobility program consulting and outsourcing. Expaticore responded by expanding its solution set to include these payroll services. These additional services included local national payrolls, expatriate payrolls (home and host) shadow payrolls, contractor pay, TCN pay, net pay delivery and tax payments. Currently, Expaticore has payroll administration capabilities in close to 100 countries.
Expansion to Support Growth
In 2008, in order to support its growing client base and demand for assignment management and payroll services, Expaticore moved from the NYC offices and opened its international payroll operations center in central New Jersey. In the same timeframe, after years of searching for the right technology partner, Expaticore signed an agreement with Humanic Design, a leading US software development house that recognized the need for solutions in the international payroll and HR support space and committed to develop supporting applications and solutions. Together, Expaticore and Humanic have designed and developed the international platform on which Expaticore's global data management and reporting capability resides.
EU Data Security Certification Received
In 2010 Expaticore received their US/EU Data Security safe harbor certification.
